Don't Read It

This poem isn’t very good;

Just move on to the rest.

I think you’ll like the others fine,

But this one’s not the best.

Frankly, I’m embarrassed by

This poem – it’s pathetic!

I should have been more careful

When I tried to wax poetic.

I tried to make it better,

Tried to smooth out all the kinks.

But finally had to face the facts –

This lousy poem stinks!

So, do not read this poem, please,

Just take this page and shred it.

Then move on with your life,

And just be glad you never read it!
