Life is just a series of moments. Which of all those moments matter? Which ones are eternal? Which ones have lasting meaning? All of them. Every single one. Which moments are insignificant? Which ones are a waste of time? Which ones are lost and gone forever? None of them. Not a single one.
Life is a master chef. Each of us are 100% unique and we’ve come here with our own unique recipes. It’s not random, it’s not chance. It’s divine. It’s perfect. When life chops us up a little, we say, hey what did you do that for? Life simply says, the recipe called for it. When we compare our lives to someone else's and say, why am I still in this oven while they get to chill on the counter? Life says, you have different recipes. When we look at our progress and we just see a big mess, pots and pans all over the place, flour on the floor, life says, you are exactly where you’re supposed to be on your journey. When we see ingredients that we don’t understand, like meaningless suffering, life says, nothing is meaningless.
The purpose of life is to experience life. You ride a roller coaster not to get somewhere but to experience it. You end up back in the same place but you are different because you experienced something impactful. So instead of holding on white knuckled, panicked, stressed, just put your hands up, laugh and enjoy the ride. Trust that the engineers and designers of the ride know what they’re doing. The ride is safe, exhilarating, and designed just for you!
Mortality has a way of hiding our true selves from us. We forget who we really are. Unfortunately, many of us see ourselves as average. Some may call that humility. I call it delusion. Average? No such thing. You are a masterpiece. You are loved and appreciated. Your life matters.
Life is the master chef and it knows your recipe. Trust it. Life is a roller coaster ride designed just for you. Enjoy it. Life is a series of moments. All of them matter. Don’t just endure life. Love it. Savor it. Revel in it. Enjoy it. Focus on good things. Choose happiness.
